Hell Bell
Admittedly, the games that had come out for the DS disappointed me as well, there was just something about it all that made the magic the games normally held fade away a little…as a person who grew up with the originals, generation four simply wasn’t ‘my’ Pokémon anymore. Regardless, I wasn’t going to turn my back on something that accompanied me through childhood simply because the game disappointed me a little.
In fact, I wanted Diamond. Dialga was a hundred times better looking than Palkia and I rather enjoyed the thought of finally getting to be the one to catch it this time around instead of having to hack one or trade for it.
Before I continue, I must tell you that this doesn’t involve Dialga at all. I just like it and originally wanted Diamond, but had to settle for Pearl because my brother got to it first. This does start off with a legendary Pokémon, however, though I’m certain that if I had used any other, the outcome would have been the same…this happening seemed to be meant for me…otherwise it probably wouldn’t have happened at all...which I would have been completely fine with.
I started up his saved game just to see what all he had. His save information said he had all the Pokémon in his Dex, even the ones that had yet to be released through wireless events, which reminded me that he really enjoyed using Action Replay codes to enhance his gaming experience…That was probably the only thing that caused him to keep the game for as long as he did…but even cheating gets old after a while.
After starting his game, I checked his party; he had six shiny, level 100 Rayquazas. Like all the other Pokémon he owned, he caught them using the lengthy ‘encounter any pokemon’ code where you had to discard heart scales to indicate which Pokémon you wanted to catch at level 100. While the Pokémon encountered with this code were about as weak as if you had given them a large number of Rare Candy, I still recall losing to these six frequently.
I had used this code myself throughout my first play through of Pearl, and I traded these across the net to increase my chances of winning at the lottery. Or, at least that’s what I did before a friend scolded me and I was more or less forced to start over cheat-free. While he needed no Pokémon to complete his pokedex and he didn’t need to win any extra items, trading was always a fun experience for me just to see where they came from.
So, I went to Jubilife City to the Global Trading Center to see what I could get for one of these Rayquazas. I know I could have traded anything, but I secretly held a grudge against these six for beating me so badly all those times.
Once in the trading network, I offered one up for a Bronzong that I had picked at random out of the first list. Of course, I couldn’t choose a gender, but I chose the required level to be 100, just to make it more or less an even trade. After that, I left for a little while.
After doing nothing of particular interest for about six hours, I came back to see if I had any takers for the trade. I immediately got excited when the trade sequence started up. I know it was just a simple Bronzong, but still, I like this process a great deal. You could send me a Magikarp and I’ll get excited for a little bit.
You know how the process goes; I won’t bother explaining the actions on the screen to you. Long story short, I received a shiny Bronzong named ‘Hell Bell’.
I was shocked to get a shiny in return, I never got a shiny when I traded in Pearl…but the name was unsettling to me…Being a slightly religious person, I’m not comfortable speaking about anything pertaining to hell or anything like that…even writing this makes me feel like I’m provoking a similar event to happen again…let’s just hope this functions as a learning experience for you and not something else for me.
After leaving, I checked its stats; everything was set at 666, its old trainer was named ‘Beelze’ (which, again, both points slip into my sensitive area…), and it was caught at Lost Tower but contained in a cherish ball.
Clearly, it was hacked, but it’s what I get for offering up a hack first.
The stats and other information of the Pokémon disturbed me only for the fact that I didn’t like its name or information, but I assumed it was fine otherwise. Regardless, I didn’t want it, so I tried offering it up for trade again…this would be where I’d gladly accept a Magikarp. But, each time I tried to put it into the GTS, the game informed me that the Pokémon couldn’t be offered in a trade.
This had happened to me several times before when I tried to trade hacked legendaries, I assume there’s something in place that keeps people from getting truly ripped off…but I was able to trade that Rayquaza and ‘Beelze’ was able to trade me Hell Bell this go around…I didn’t know why it wouldn’t allow me to offer it again.
I still wanted to be rid of it; so obviously, the only other option I had was to release it. Before I went to the PC, however, I checked the item it was holding. The sender had attached mail to it, which was always fun…even though your choices for what to say are severely limited and the letters always come out painfully cheesy (That’s one of the things I don’t like, the revamp of the mail system).
I chose Hell Bell and selected to read the mail, though the letter wasn’t set up like it normally was in the game, it looked like it had actually been typed out like you used to be able to do in Gold and Silver. The message was only three words long:
‘Take me back.’
I wasn’t quite sure what that meant. I certainly couldn’t trade it again…even if I could, there was no way I could make sure Hell Bell got back to Beelze so I discarded the message and went to the PC to release it.
I selected the ‘deposit pokemon’ option and selected Hell Bell to release it, but each time the party sprite shrunk away, it immediately came back with the message saying something along the lines of “Hell Bell doesn’t want to leave you!”
Again, this had happened before when I was clearing out my PC box in my second play through of Pearl. I wanted a little more room and decided to release a Shinx that I had caught early on in the game, but it kept coming back. I had thought it was cute then and made the Shinx (now a Luxray) a permanent member of my party since it appeared to like me so much…but now it was just annoying.
When I checked Hell Bell again, it was holding another mail item…which made no sense since I had taken it away the first time. I opened it and read a slightly longer message:
‘I can’t go back on my own. Take me back.’
Again, I took the item and tried to release it. Another failure.
When I tried to simply deposit it, the game told me to remove the mail item from the Pokémon before depositing…I know I had, twice…but upon checking it again, Hell Bell had yet another mail item in its possession.
‘Lost Tower.’
It was finally getting more specific, which I found oddly relieving rather than feeling a little uneasy as I probably should have been. At least I knew where it wanted to go…maybe it’d leave my party after I took it there. I’d like to know why this Pokémon was making my game behave so strangely. The Pokémon was hacked, not the game itself…as far as I know, a decent hack doesn’t affect the game and a bad hack can make it crash…but this was doing neither, more like something in between.
Eager to get rid of it, I left the GTS building and stepped out into Jubilife. I was too impatient to pick an actual flying type out of the PC, so I just taught one of the Rayquazas the move ‘Fly’ and chose to use it. But, when I picked Solaceon Town from the map, the game informed that I couldn’t fly there…I know my brother had visited the city before, I don’t know why I couldn’t go there…but I didn’t take the time to actually think about it, I just flew to Hearthome instead.
I didn’t waste time in Hearthome, I simply left to travel through Route 209 to get to the Lost Tower and hopefully rid myself of this strange Pokémon somehow by taking it where it wanted to go.
I immediately noticed the lack of people on the Route. Granted, I don’t remember who all was there to battle and things of that sort, but I know there were at least a few there…the area here was completely vacant…
Well, not completely, there was one person quickly pacing back and forth where I believe an athlete once ran that I didn’t quite recognize; the sprite of a white-haired old man.
Curious, I spoke to him…which was where it began to get a little weird for me. He didn’t say anything that made sense, but babbled over and over for an annoyingly long amount of time much like when you speak to a specific cyclist on the bike trail in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. You know, the one who knows where you got your bike because the name is all over it.
“RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL RING THE BELL”
That meant nothing to me, I didn’t bother speaking to him again, I just continued on to the Tower.
Once inside, I tried to go up the stairs, but something prevented me from moving for a moment. I thought all the hacked Pokémon had finally made my game screw up, but that wasn’t the case. After a moment of complete silence, the sound of a deep brazen bell began to slowly toll (If you’re curious about how that sounded exactly, start up your HeartGold/SoulSilver game. That bell, that’s the noise)
After about four rings, the tombstone in the center of the room cracked and shattered like someone had used Rock Smash on it. Beneath the tombstone was a hole, since it wasn’t allowing me to go up the stairs, I walked over and fell through it.
When I landed, I fell on a platform much like the one you find Arceus on in the Hall of Origin (don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about, we’ve all hacked that event.) only it was much darker. Where the transparent platform was white and glowing for Arceus, this one was more of a blackened red…it just seemed evil rather than the ‘holy’ vibe you get from the Hall of Origin. Coming from the platform was a set of wide stairs that looked as if they were made of black marble rather than white.
There was no way back up (couldn’t fly, no diggers, and I was Escape Rope poor.) So I took the stairs and the bell (which I now assume was Hell Bell considering that Bronzong is indeed a sort of bell) continued to ring slowly.
By now, I was feeling incredibly uneasy (wouldn’t you?) but I continued down the stairs. As I went further, it began to get foggy and a little darker. When I reached the bottom, I was met with a narrow path with large pools of magma/lava on either side…it was beginning to look more like the cave in which you encounter Groudon in R/S/E, with better graphics, of course.
The path continued in a straight line for about forty steps before hanging right for another forty and finally going up. The final path was long; magma still bubbled at the side, and with each step I took…The ringing of the bell began to go faster, at least as fast as a large bell was allowed to ring…which was still just an ominous, slow tolling. Though, with each ring, I couldn’t help but repeat what the old man NPC had said earlier…”Ring. The. Bell.”
Finally, I reached the end of the pathway, which was just as small 4x4 platform, and the bell stopped ringing. I wondered what I was supposed to do here, there was nothing here to do, no way to release Hell Bell, and no way to get out…I received my answer in the form of a disembodied ‘voice’. A dialogue box popped up and said:
“Oh, you’ve returned Hell Bell to me? I really appreciate it.”
He faded into view one space ahead in front of my sprite, it was just a simple ‘gentleman’ sprite, and the party sprite of Hell Bell came out of me and stood in the space between us facing him. The game informed me that I handed over Hell Bell.
Next, a thing popped up on the touch screen, it looked like the part of the trainer card where you sign your name. Again, the voice spoke:
“Would you mind telling me your name please so that I may thank you properly?”
Now this confused me…well, everything that was happening confused me, but this really threw me for a loop. First, the game should know the character name programmed into it from the start…and, as far as I know, it can’t actually recognize handwriting. Regardless, I began writing my brother’s character’s name, which was ‘Dust’. I made the first stroke; it was in black ‘ink’ just like normal, and made a ‘D’, but the voice stopped me:
“No, no, your real name please. I can’t thank you with a false name, you know.”
My heart felt like it stopped for a second and sunk right into my stomach before violently bounding back up into my chest, how the hell did the game know that I wasn’t signing my real name?
“Your real name, please.”
Again, I began writing. Why I was listening to this, watching it all play out when I could easily just turn it off or star a completely new game, I don’t know…The thought simply didn’t cross my mind at the time…I don’t think it was allowed to.
The ‘ink’ in which I was now writing was a bright red color...but I still wrote my full name, first and last, in the space I was provided. After I was finished, the man spoke again:
“Good, now blow, please? We don’t want the ink to smudge.”
I blew into the mic and the ‘ink’ turned from bright to deep red. I was unable to make and changes after that. Afterward, the screen disappeared and the man spoke again:
“Thank you, miss. You’ll be happy to know that you now belong to me.”
The bell tolled twice more as my sprite, currently male, turned to face me and shifted to the female sprite…brown hair, wearing all black…just like I was at the moment.
Hell Bell moved forward, over lapping my sprite, and a final dialogue box popped up:
“Hell Bell used IMPRISONMENT”
After that…my DS battery died. I was shaken, I’ll admit, but it just seemed like a twisted event brought about by some sort of secret within the game unlocked by a Pokémon…but now…
I can’t sleep, food seems to turn to ash in my mouth, no water can quench my thirst, and people and animals both act as if the shadow of death is passing by them when I’m near…I’m not my own anymore…I belong to that man…and Hell Bell.
I don’t know what became of that Pokémon, but if I received it, someone else is surely to do so…Use caution while using the trading system.
Pokemon Death Snap
Ohh, the '90s. Life was so simple back then, for my generation. There was the Game Boy, the Nintendo 64, Batman: The Animated Series, The Age of Apocalyspe storyline from Marvel comics.. these things were all the highlights of my day, especially if I was doing them with a friend.
I wasn't really into computers at the time; my family had dial-up and a shitty Windows 95, which made everything so frustrating. No, my farthest exploits into the digital world involved me and my Nintendo 64. Super Smash Bros., Super Mario 64, Starfox 64, Mario Kart 64, and Pokémon Snap were my favorites.
After I had thoroughly rooted out every secret in these games, the only one that kept my attention was Pokémon Snap. I constantly went through every level trying to get the best possible shot of all the Pokémon featured in that game. What intrigued me was the realism in that game. In all other Pokémon games, everything was synthetic.
You couldn't walk amongst the Pokémon and see how they interacted; you could only have them in a ball or following you around. One could argue that "Hey You, Pikachu!" was more interactive, but on the whole, only certain words are recognized and the scripted non-realistic events gave that game a disgustingly synthetic feel. The first-person 3D view of Pokémon present in Pokémon Snap gave everyone who grew up in the '90s something they could only dream of: a chance to live in a realistic Pokémon world.
So, eventually, we moved to a new house and got a PS2, DSL, and a computer that could run Half-Life. I moved on to bigger and better things, but would often look back fondly at the simplicity of my childhood. My N64 and all the games were put in a forgotten corner of the basement. This brings my story to more recent events. About a week ago, I was at my friend's house. He is one of those people who are well-equipped and has many things: Wi-Fi, several computers, iPods, a Mac, a drum set, a piano, a Widescreen HDTV, surround-sound, guitars, a PS3, and whatnot. He was one of the people I liked to whoop in Super Smash Bros, back in the day. Anyway, we were hanging out and he had something he wanted to show me. He powered up his Wii and one of the channels was Pokémon Snap, which he proceeded to load. He had recently downloaded it from the Virtual Console. As soon as I heard the fast theme song and camera flashes, I was overcome with an intense wave of nostalgia—something I rarely feel these days—and really wanted to play that game. My friend loaded it up and selected "Continue".
For everyone unfamiliar with Pokémon Snap, the premise is that Professor Oak needs someone to photograph all the Pokémon on some island with many different environments. As you get more pictures and higher scores, new tools and levels become available to you, such as the apple, which acts as bait, the pester ball, which irritates Pokémon, and the Pokeflute, which wakes sleeping Pokémon. The player controls Todd, a character from the anime, who is riding in a buggy on a set track. The buggy moves at a constant speed, and it is from this buggy that you must take pictures. There are 63 of the original 151 Pokémon in Pokémon Snap. The levels, or 'courses' as Oak calls them, range from a beach to a volcano to caves and rivers. The island is a very diverse place, but even with my extensive playing, the darkest parts had eluded me... until recently, that is.
So, Professor Oak said "Welcome" in his very creeper-ish voice recording. I always found it funny how the game had about one word of pre-recorded voice per two or three sentences the text box showed. Reliving our childhoods, we took turns playing a level and seeing who could get the best score. Soon, I had to go home, but I really did not want to stop playing Pokémon Snap.
When I got home, I went down into my basement and dug out the old N64, along with a musty-smelling cardboard box full of all the old cartridges, controllers, memory cards, and rumble packs. God, I missed this system. I hooked the RF cables up to the TV in my room, popped in Pokémon Snap, and shifted the Pokeball into the on position. A little more back-story here: when I got my N64, the "Hey, You Pikachu!" model was massively on sale at Toys R Us, and my mom decided to get it, as it came with the game. When you turn it on with the Pokeball switch, the Pikachu's cheeks light up, also, his foot acts as the reset switch. It's pretty cool. Anyways, when I turned the console on, the screen remained static. I pulled out the cartridge and checked the chip. Sure enough, it was covered in this black gunk. I spent half an hour getting that nasty stuff off. It was at this point I first noticed something strange: after the substance was removed, the chip was red with black rectangles along the surface, which I assumed were meant to be contacts. None of my other games had this black stuff, and their chips were light brown with the gold-ish contacts.
There were other oddities with this particular cartridge. There was no Official Seal of Nintendo on the label, or anywhere on the cartridge. These are on all N64 carts, and most other Nintendo products from this era. Another thing was that there was no black label on the back that usually contains the typical "DON'T PLAY YOU'LL GET SEIZURES," kind of thing. The front label was also slightly off-center. These should have been red flags, but I am a pretty lax guy that just takes things in stride so I didn't really care. At this point, I thought the game was ruined by the goo and discoloration, but I put it back in for the hell of it. To my surprise, the Nintendo logo popped on the screen. We were back in business.
So, the load screen came up and the upbeat theme song and camera flashes were playing just as they did earlier at my friend's house. It was then I noticed several visual distortions, which I thought were due to cart damage. There were three purple vertical streaks a few inches wide that went all the way down the screen, one on each edge and one down the middle. They were darker in the middle of the streaks, but you could see past them somewhat. I didn't mind that much; it was only a minor inconvenience.
Next, I pressed start and to my surprise, I found that there was no continue option. I guess my saves had been deleted by battery failure. All of those hours and hours of hard work and completion were gone. Oh well, I probably would have started a new file anyway.
I started the new game and more strange things began to occur. I found myself in Oak's lab. His features were changed. His eyes were black with no pupils and he had a stern look on his face. That, coupled with the purple distortion that ran along his left half, made him very disturbing. All the text dialogue was normal, but the pre-recorded voice bits I mentioned earlier were distorted. They came out slowly at low pitch. I was reminded of the demon voices from early shooters like Doom...but other than these things I attributed to cart damage, the game play was normal...or so I thought. All of this was starting to make me a bit uneasy, but I was a man of science. I didn't believe in ghosts or God or Hell, and prided myself in overcoming the irrational fears that many suffered from. Oh, to be young again.
I went to the first course, the beach. There were more visual distortions. All Pokémon had no pupils, just pure black eyes. Also, on the ground underneath where the Pokémon sprites were, there was a purple ring. It appeared even under the flying Pidgeys. The other distortion here was that the sky was a light green and there were no clouds or sun.
The movements of the Pokémon seemed unnatural and cold, like they were afraid of something. I played through the course, but as I took pictures, the Pokémon that were in the frame disappeared. Slightly concerned by this, I didn't take pictures of Pokémon that wouldn't count until later, such as Snorlax or Chansey. As I approached the exit gate, I turned around and saw one of the circles that indicated that a Pokémon was there following me, but there was no sprite. I snapped a picture and was taken back to the lab.
I selected all the pictures for the Pokémon Report, but, strangely, the last picture I took was not there. The rating process went as normal, but at the end, Oak said, "Nice work harvesting." There was a brief pause, and then he said, "... You let it in didn't you? Well, you know what this means... go to the tunnel."
I assumed that he was referring to the Tunnel Course, so I went to the map and it was now available. As I entered the course, I noticed that I now had all the tools: the apple, pester ball, and Pokeflute. I went through the course and found that it had the same visual distortion as the beach. At the end, I tossed an apple at the Electrode by the rocks and the path to the volcano opened up. The electrode looked like it was in extreme agony, not like the comical explosions seen before. It seemed to be begging for help.
As the traveling cutscene took place, I saw the purple ring with no sprite again. It followed me. Strangely, there was no cut back to the lab after discovering the course like it was supposed to. It just took me straight to the volcano level. A quick survey of the area showed that the visual distortions were getting worse. As I moved forward, the Ponytas and Rapidashes were running, then jumped into the lava and gave off low-pitched screams. All the Pokémon did this as I approached. I finally reached the egg, which blocked the path. You are supposed to throw an apple at it so you can proceed, but I found that my tools were gone. This was problematic, and I took this opportunity to get some dinner. I didn't pause the game because there was no need to. When I got back, I saw the purple ring again. It was in place, motionless, behind me. I also saw something else coming from the distance. It was an Electrode from the tunnel rolling down the path. This Electrode must have been the one I blew up, as it had a look of anger and revenge in its eyes. I could do nothing to get away, so I sat and watched. As soon as it hit me, it exploded, which caused my buggy to flip on its side and go top down into the lava. A travel-like cutscene played, but it was slow with distorted audio. The low-pitched screams of the flailing, burning Todd were heard.
I was back in the lab and Oak looked angry. He said, "You let it get to you, didn't you? Well, you only have yourself to blame." The screen faded to black and the course selection screen came up. Oak was standing alone, and the only option on the screen was "HELLL," which was spelled with three Ls. The "Go Back" option was gone, so I had no choice but to click on it. There was no way I was stopping now.
The camera zoomed in on the charred corpse of Todd. Its bottom half was under the upside-down buggy. Everything was ultra-realistic, and this was on a pedestal of stone in an endless sea of fire and lava. All of the Pokémon I had taken pictures of and made disappear were floating in the lava, screaming in low-pitched voices. Suddenly, there was a camera flash. The screen swung to a demonic figure with a camera taking pictures of the corpse. After he had a few pictures, he curb-stomped Todd's head and took more pictures. Then, a low-pitched demonic, "Say cheeeeeese," came out of the speakers and my whole room lit up for a second. That scared the shit out of me, and when it was over the screen was dead black and the system was shut off.
I hit reset, because I knew it was just a game and it couldn't hurt me. That stuff was pretty sick, but I had seen worse on the internet. I wanted to see what happened next. As it came on the screen, the menu came up and the only option was to view the album. I hit A and immediately wished I hadn't. The album was filled with hundreds of photos, all of horrific torture and mutilation scenes. Many of these pictures involved children. These photos were not in 64-bit, but appeared to be authentic, scanned photos. At this point, I was overcome with nausea, but it got worse. The game force-scrolled to the end and zoomed to the final picture. It was the picture I had taken of the purple ring without a sprite....only now there was something above it. It was a picture of my dead body floating a foot off the ground. The sickest part was that there was a camera jammed through my head.
The screen faded to black. I was so terrified by the whole event that I broke the cartridge in two and ditched it in two different dumpsters behind restaurants on opposite ends of town. A few days later, I asked my mom if she had done something to my Pokémon Snap game. "Oh, yes..." she said. "When we moved here, I was carrying that box down to the basement and that game fell out and broke. When I went to pick it up, I found that it had fallen into a crack in the crawlspace. I couldn't find it. I'm sorry about not telling you, but I thought you had outgrown that anyway." A lock of shock must have come to my face, because my mom asked what was wrong. "Nothing," I said. "I'm fine." I decided not to tell her.
A week has passed and I am bringing my story to the internet in the hopes that it may help someone else, or at least entertain. I do apologize for the length, but I feel that the details are necessary. What scares me the most is not the photographs of the mutilation or my dead self. What scares me the most is whatever the hell is in my basement that can make a broken game into something so gruesome. Thank God I'm moving out soon.
Harvest Moon: Mineral Town
I had a friend who was always talking about harvest moon saying how it is the best game ever I decided I should check it out because it did look interesting I mean growing crops and wooing a virtual girl (because I could never do ether in real life.)
So I drove to my nearest Game stop. It was a small one stuck between a speedy cash and Mexican restaurant. I asked the man at the front counter.
"Do you have Harvest moon Friends of Mineral Town?"
"I can check." He said.
I waited around for a few minutes, he came out and said.
"We sold the last one a while ago but we do have the one for the DS."
"No thank you, for the DS version but do you know where I could get a copy?" I asked him.
"Well you could get one off eBay an emulator or that Retro gaming store." He said.
I raised my eyebrow at the retro gaming store suggestion, he must of saw this be cause he replied with
"They are not mutch of a retro store pretty sure they will stock Wii after the Wii U comes out"
"Thank you." I said as I walked out the door.
Because I told my self that I would never get any electronics from eBay and that I thought emulators where illegal I drove to the Retro gaming store. There I saw that the store was huge and filled I noticed that the games that were good selling were at the very front of the store like Pokémon gen one-three although some games up there did not really look like retro games. I walked up to the counter the girl behind it looked as thought she could care less about her job.
"Do you have Harvest moon Friends of mineral town." I asked.
"Yes," She said sounding disappointing that she had to stop day dreaming.
"Here it is, it will be $12.99." She said.
I thought that that was a reasonable price so I bought it and took it home the pack that it was in was missing so it was put into a plastic GBA case. When I put it into my game boy everything loaded fine. Looking back on it the starting screen said HARVEST MOON Mineral Town, instead of HARVEST MOON Friends of mineral town. I loaded up a game and started playing making money and trying to woo Ann the innkeepers daughter. About a 2 months in game something strange happened.
The day started normally but when I went outside of my house Elli (The town nurse) was there crying when I talked to her she said that her grandma had died of old age and that she invited me to her grand mothers funeral. it was on the Friday in three days.
I was interested in that since I thought people never died in harvest moon only animals. The days went by and nothing happened. The day of the funeral the doctor Elli, Stu the mayor and I where around a funeral and Carter (The town Priest) Was talking saying how she would always be remembered as a caring lady.
Latter the next month during Fall Karen came to my house looking very sad that Rick his sister Popuri and mother Lillia were all ill and likely not going to make it to the end of the week. Again odd because Lillia was often sick a lot but never fatal also never contagious. The next day Karen came back and saying Lillia and Rick had passed and that was close. After he said that he ran away from the farm.
Again next time I looked on the calender I saw that Lillia's funeral was on Monday and Rick's funeral was on Wednesday. Again this time the Monday the Mayor and I were standing around the grave stone. Carter only was able to say:
"She was a- she was- she," then completing his sentence.
"She was a woman who was kindhearted, I can not imagine what her husband will do when he learns that his wife , daughter and son passed hopefully their souls make it to heaven."
After that my character walked over to the mayor and he said, "Noone has seen Karen in three days."
The Wednesday was Rick's funeral and almost just as depressing with the fact of it was carter who called the funeral short after he was unable to say anything about this. The graveyard had grown northward.
Things were starting to feel depressing but (and I have no idea why, I guess curiosity) I continued to play the game. The week latter I had worked myself almost to fainting so I went to the clinic to buy a turbo-jolt, but when I walked inside I saw Elli over the patients bed and on the bed the doctor was laying down on it.
When I talked to Elli she said that the doctor had become sick with what ever Lillia had gotten and that Elli herself was feeling the sickness. After that my character ran out of the room. Again the next day The mayor had came to my house and told me that the doctor had passed away during the night and Elli was almost gone so the hospital was closed off so do not work to hard.
The funeral happened on Thursday it was a combined funeral of Elli and the Doctor Carter said:
"I can remember when ever I got sick Elli and the Doctor always would help me."
Then suddenly he spoke to the mayor:
"This town is falling apart I'm going to leave on Friday."
The mayor replied with, "Saibara, Gray (Blacksmith) and Gotz (lumberjack/Carpenter) left after they heard what happened to the hospital I can agree that this is bad but I will not leave."
Again a few days later the mayor came to my house saying Sasha went looking for Karen six days ago and has not been herd from.
The exact day later, my character was woke up by knocking at the door when he opened the door the mayor ran in exhausted he said that Stu (Elli's young (like 6 year old) brother) had locked himself in his house The screen faded to black and faded back in with my character banging on the door to Stu's house, but to no avail.
The Mayor and my character keep trying to open the door and the whole day went by and it never opened. later my character ave up and slid his back against the door he looked up at the mayor and then two text boxes appeared one said:
"How many people are left" and the other said "Say nothing".
I chose the first.
The mayor cried, "Not many, Ann, Doug, and Cliff. Most other people left , the supermarket is closed so are the winery chicken and cow farm. Why ... why is this happening to this town... why, Carter was right this town is done... but this is the only place I can be."
Then the mayor ran into his house my character ran after him. the screen faded to black as my character ran into the mayors house, a text box said:
"The mayor hung himself." There is a diary by the bed read? "yes" "No" I chose yes the text box said.
Summer 13th :Ellen died today I always knew she would with the age she was.
Fall 27th: Sasha died and Rick and Popuri are not looking well.
Fall 28th:4th death in half a year
Winter 3th: The Doctor and Elli are sick with the same disease how will I tell Stu that his sister is not going to be here he already lost his grand mother.
Spring 12th: I will try to help Stu in anyway, become a father the best father.
Spring 13th: I took my son out for a walk, Then we went fishing Stu loved fishing.
Spring: Stu did not want to come out and play today, so sad.
Stu locked himself in his room I have to go get help.
my son told me he did not want to leave but he has to I'm going to go get the farmer.
The screen faded back to my character sitting outside the house by this time the Mayor was my friend in game so my character was outside with his head bowed
The next day my character walked outside to see Ann (by this time she had red heart) she said:
"Stu Was not drinking or eating anything since his sister died so..." Then changing the subject
"My father ,cliff and I are leaving because with half the town dead and the other half left we need another place to go he would like to invite you to leave with us."
Again two options "Accept" the second "Decline" I chose the first.
After that a cut seen happened it showed them on a path next to a mountain as they were walking an avalanche of rocks sweep us off the path. Then the harvest goddess showed up on screen, looked around then twirled around. It Show the calender it said Summer 13th. The game faded to black. Then the title menu came up it said HARVEST MOON friends of mineral town.
I loaded up the save data and what showed up was the day before I had learned Ellen died when I went outside the game seemed fine there were no problems no deaths no suicides. Then I turned off the game because (You all know that you can only play harvest moon for 5 hours.) I will still play this game as long as it is normal.
Pikmin 3
Sure, I like pikmin as much as the next guy. But this last experience ruined everything. here is my story.
Day 1
Pikmin 3 just came out for the Wii U. I was so exited to pay it! I put in the disc and began playing. The intro appeared and I watch the tutorial. It showed all the new features and obstacles. My mind was blown! I began playing, everything was normal, I gathered some pikmin and began fighting monsters. After a while, it started to get dark. So I headed back to the ship for the next day.
Day 2
When i returned to the pikmin planet. I gathered more pikmin. They started to sing their little happy song. Not happy for long. When they were singing I heard them saying things like "Join us" or "Your dead".
I was getting kind of nervous. I continued playing, I killed a bulborb and instead of it doing the regular dying scene. It just fell. No noise, no nothing it just fell. I didn't have time to pick it up so I just continued adventuring. The sun was starting to set so I gathered up my pikmin and went to the ship.
Day 3
I was already three days into the game, I had about 75 pikmin with me. They started to sing their messed up song again. Their singing didn't bother me. It was the bulborb I killed on the second day. It was still there. It looked all decomposed and bloody. I was freaked out. My pikmin automatically gathered around the bulborb and started singing their song again. Instead of their original song they started singing something even worse. "You are dead, you are gone, now just lay there and rot in hell!" I could not believe what I just heard. I was scared. I got back into the ship. Instead of saying Day 4, it said Day #$@%
Day #$@%
I was already terrified. I don't even know why I was still playing. I gathered my pikmin. The map looked different than usuall. Everything was all glitchy exept for one thing. The bulborb. The dead bulborb was still there. Looking even bloodier than before. I started to hear deep breathing coming from the TV. I was shocked. It sounded like an 80 year old guy coughing and breathing into a microphone. Then, I realised. I had 80 pikmin, there was an 80 year old guy, and on the glitched walls, The number 80 appeared very slightly on the walls. I had enough. I shut off my game. and destroyed the disk. Everything after that was back to normal.
I'm not asking you to believe me, all I'm asking is for you to just listed to my story.

Pokemon: Dead Pikachu Version
Pokemon is my favorite game series, Pokemon Gold Version just came out, I was so exited to get it! I looked at stores but they were always sold out. So I did what any desperate kid would do, look on the internet. I found a version in good condition for a really cheap price, I read the description of the game and it said "You shouldn't of let that happen." I thought it was just a prank so I bought it! A few days later it arrived in the mail. I was so exited to play it! I put it in my Game Boy and turned on the power. Everything was normal except for when I was selecting my starter Pokemon. The only choice I had was a Pikachu.
I selected it and went on with the game. I went into the tall grass to try to catch a pokemon, I threw a pokeball and all it said was "You shouldn't of let that happen" I tried to attack and it said "Pikachu has no attacks" I could not run from the battle. So I had no choice other than to just watch pikachu die. I was pretty creeped out. When pikachu fainted the screen went black, and a short message appeared "Pikachu is gone" I was scared now. I appeared back at my house. I went into the tall grass and another battle happened. I had no pokemon, instead it showed my person. I had no attacks, I could not run, and I could not use items. My player died. A black screen appeared saying "R.I.P. Ian (my real name) 3/4/2000-6/22/2012

Creeper Prototype
Before Mine craft Alpha was released, during bug testing. Notch came up with the creeper. This isn't the creeper that you see today, it was scarier. It looked like a mutated man with 2 bloody back legs. He published the game soon after. Kids everywhere loved the game. Some said the creeper was cursed. One kid was playing the game once. He was convinced that creepers were haunted, he researched into the game's files. He messed up his files. He logged back on, the creepers looked even creepier than usual. There heads were melting off flesh and made a horrible crying in pain noise when they exploded. He was really freaked out. He swore he heard the same crying noises outside in the woods. Every time a creeper exploded, the crying got louder and more realistic. Soon it got to the point where the crying had turned into horrified screaming, impossible for a video game to re create. The kid soon committed suicide due to the screeching noise in his head. No more is known about the creeper prototype. It was changed to the modern creeper that you now know today, because of that horrible accident.
